Rapid Anxiety Reduction Method (RARM): A cutting-edge approach to anxiety relief
Anxiety can feel relentless. Racing thoughts. Tight chest. Restless sleep. A constant sense that something might go wrong.
A trigger for anxiety can intensify around major life events. An example that can trigger anxiety is the prospect of undergoing a medical procedure or surgery.
RARM is an innovative, cutting-edge approach designed to reduce anxiety quickly by working directly with the subconscious patterns that drive it.
What is Rapid Anxiety Reduction Method (RARM)?
RARM is a specialised hypnotherapeutic process that helps reduce the emotional intensity attached to anxiety triggers. Rather than spending months analysing the past, this method focuses on how anxiety is stored in the nervous system now.
Anxiety is not simply “overthinking.” It is a learned mind-body response. When the subconscious perceives threat, it activates physical sensations — even when the situation is safe.
Through structured questioning and guided subconscious techniques, RARM works to interrupt that conditioned response. Clients remain aware and in control throughout. The process is calm, contained and collaborative.
Anxiety and surgery - a clinical example
In my clinical work, I have used RARM with clients experiencing significant anxiety before surgery. One client presented with escalating fear about an upcoming procedure. Although medically reassured, their level of panic and anxiety was escalating to the point it was impacting sleep, work and family commitments.
Using my specialist training in Rapid Anxiety Release Method, we identified the emotional trigger attached to the surgery. Without reliving trauma or over-analysing, we worked directly with the subconscious response maintaining the anxiety.
By the end of the session, the client reported a marked reduction in emotional intensity. The physical symptoms had softened markedly and their day-to-day functioning was re-stored. Post RARM session leading up to surgery, they described feeling calmer, clearer and more at ease. The client reported the procedure and recovery went well and was impressed with how easy it was to remove the intense anxiety and fear they had been experiencing.
