Hi, I’m Belle — Clinical Director and founder of The Release Room in Perth, Western Australia.
I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, EFT practitioner, Rapid Anxiety Reduction Method (RARM) specialist, certified personal and professional life coach and public health professional.
My path could best be described as clinical meets spiritual. I’m equal parts:
Evidence-based, public health professional.
Deeply spiritual and intuitive.
A grounded, analytical thinker; and
A believer in the unseen.
With a postgraduate qualification in public health and more than a decade working across Western Australia’s health and mental health systems. I strongly believe that every person has an innate capacity to heal themselves.
Clinical hypnotherapy works directly with the subconscious mind — the part of the mind responsible for automatic patterns, emotional responses, beliefs and behaviours.
When change occurs at this level, it can often be faster and more sustainable than trying to change through conscious effort alone.
This approach allows people to shift anxiety patterns, emotional triggers and limiting beliefs without needing to repeatedly relive trauma or analyse the past for years.
For me, discovering subconscious and nervous system work felt like finding the missing piece between science, psychology and human experience.
My path into hypnotherapy didn’t begin in a classroom — it began on the edge of one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. In 2024 I was preparing for major surgery. After a horrific and traumatic birth turned emergency C-section in 2022, I was intensely anxious and panicked leading up to the surgery. It was also a period in my life where I was exhausted, overwhelmed and operating from a place I now recognise as a deep “sickness mindset”. My mind was spinning, my body was in stress mode, and I couldn’t find a way to calm myself.
A few days before the operation I decided — almost on instinct — to book a hypnotherapy session.
What happened in that room changed the trajectory of my life.
I walked in panicked, stressed and anxious. I walked out light, clear, relaxed and genuinely excited for the surgery. After the session I even said something like “get me to the hospital!” I was so excited for surgery.
And the surgery itself? The recovery? The emotional and physical resilience?
It was a walk in the park.
I credit that session for transforming not just my mindset, but my nervous system, my healing and my entire relationship with my body. It unblocked something inside me that I didn’t realise was frozen.
That moment was the spark.
It showed me what was possible when you work with the subconscious. It showed me how quickly the body can shift into safety and heal itself. And it showed me the kind of work I was meant to bring into the world.
Hypnotherapy didn’t just help me heal —
it called me into my purpose.
For nearly a decade I worked in strategic policy and project roles across mental health and paediatric community health services in Western Australia.
Throughout my career I worked alongside Psychiatrists, executives, policy makers and clinicians. I saw first-hand how many people — particularly children and families — were struggling with accessing appropriate and holistic supports for their mental and emotional wellbeing. Even with the best clinicians and services, so many needs remained unmet, with people left without consistent, timely and holistic support.
My experience and expertise have taught me two important things:
Medical intervention is essential; and
The medical model is only one piece of a much larger healing picture.
While deeply committed to my career, I always felt called to something more — something that reached the root of suffering rather than only addressing the symptoms. Clinical hypnotherapy, subconscious healing and nervous system work offered exactly that: a way to genuinely transform emotional patterns, beliefs and behaviours from within.
The Release Room is the culmination of both worlds where I get to mix my health background, my intuitive abilities and my unwavering belief that people have the innate ability to heal from within.
The Release Room exists because of my story.
And now, because of yours.
Wherever you are in your journey, change is possible.
This work is about reconnecting with the part of yourself that already knows the way forward.
